Welcome to eBabyHealth.com

My husband and I were newlyweds when we became expectant parents. This whole family experience was new to him - I think he was surprised to find himself with a wife in the first place, so the prospect of a baby was even more foreign. He used to think the longer I was gone, the more money I spent. He knows women well, doesn't he? NOT! I went and stood 3 hours in line to get baby furniture at a local baby store that had a huge sale every year. There were so many people, they would escort each person in as a salesperson became available and then you walked through the store with "your" sales person, picked out your things, paid for them and made arrangements for delivery or pickup. By the time I got home, he was envisioning a bill of thousands and thousands of dollars. I actually spent about $300 and saved over 50%, but once I was in the store it only took 20 minutes to pick out what I needed!

I love the internet. If I was having babies these days, I'd never leave the house to shop. On top of that, there are some fantastic things available that I didn't have. I would've died and gone to heaven if I had been able to get a stroller/car seat/carrier combo! Why didn't they think of that sooner??

eBaby Health is here to offer not only great advice from experienced mothers, but to provide online shopping so you can stay at home with the baby. Yes, I have stories about that, too. We put our new baby girl in her car seat and proudly took her home from the hospital - at which point, taking her sweet sleeping self out of the car, we noticed she had a badly sunburned forehead. Who knew that the short drive from the hospital would result in a sunburn? Not us, obviously! Then, I nearly starved the poor thing to do death because I didn't know how to breast feed. I thought not having to change diapers so often was great! It's a wonder our first child survives the experience, isn't it? Amazing that so much is left in the hands of amateurs!

Americans used to marry and have children no more than 5 miles from where they grew up, but those days are gone. Now, we're lucky if we have ANY relatives living close by. I was fortunate to have my Aunt Carolyn. Some of the best advice I ever got was from her, and I'll be sharing it in the articles.

By the way, some of these article are a bit chatty because that's just me. But the information you'll get is real information and I hope it's real useful information.

Drop me a line through the contact form if there's something you want to see covered.
